Panforte customer delicious with coffeeWHAT IS PANFORTE?

Panforte is a traditional Mediterranean dessert made of fruits and nuts. It may date as far back as the 13th century to Siena in Italy's Tuscany region. Literally, panforte means "strong bread" which refers to its wonderful spicy flavor.

Panforte is usually made in a round shape. The primary ingredients typically include fresh almonds, candied fruit (primarily citrus peel), spices, and honey with a sprinkling of powdered sugar on the outside giving it a distinct candy like flavor. In contrast, our panforte is baked in a loaf shape to make cutting easier and with more natural ingredients including fine dried fruits instead of candied fruit and no powdered sugar topping. Our product is only lightly spiced and is less candy like and more nutritious than traditional recipes.

For ages, panforte has been enjoyed throughout Italy and around the world. Usually a thin slice is served with coffee or a dessert wine after a meal, though many people also enjoy it with their breakfast coffee or afternoon tea! However you try it, you will love our Panforte!
